Hot dip galvanizing<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Hot dip galvanizing is a method of surface coating in which the product will be first pre-processed and then dipped into molten 450\u00b0C zinc. Zinc and steel react togetheer, creating a surface coating. Layer thickness can vary from 60 to 250 mikrometer depending on the silicon (Si) content of the steel and the duration of the dipping. Hot dip galvanizing provides the product an excellent protection against corrosion. If the surface layer is damaged, the silicone layer maintains a cathodic protection. Rust does not form between the zinc coating and the steel, which is one of the reasons why it is a superior coating compared to e.g. mere paint coating. When a painted surface is damaged, rust begins forming between the paint coating and the steel, causing the rust to penetrate under the paint coating. If the surface has been hot dip galvanized and then painted, in other words it is given a duplex treatment, the zinc’s cathodic protection quality remains in this case as well.<\/p>\n

As a surface treating method, hot dip galvanizing is a cost-effective choice for elements that are exposed to outdoor conditions, that should have a long lifecycle and that should need as little maintenance work as possible. Hot dip galvanizing remains in place for decades without any need for maintenance.<\/p>\n

Taken into use in 2017, our factory building has been tailor made for hot dip galvanizing, which enables a larger production capacity with the highest possible quality.
